• Outdoor Learning Space: In partnership with Out Teach, Royal Foods, and Atlanta United, Deerwood Academy created an outdoor learning space. This space includes a weather station, an outdoor whiteboard, seating for a full class, and two raised vegetable beds.
• Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program: We participate in the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program to introduce students to a variety of produce and promote healthier eating habits.
• Community and Service projects: Students engage in community service projects, such as the "March Against Poverty" which aims to raise awareness and funds for organizations like "Love Beyond Walls". 

Global Leaders in the Making: The IB Advantage

The crowning glory of Deerwood Academy is our prestigious status as an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School for the Primary Years Programme (PYP). This designation made Deerwood the eighth school in the APS district and the first outside the established North Atlanta IB pipeline to receive this certification. This designation is also a testament to our commitment to providing a rigorous, high-quality international education.
